Information and Education

A lot of people are keen to participate in wildlife conservation but often do not have the opportunity or are unsure as to how to do so. The AJWCEF allows people to not only participate in wildlife conservation by making monetary donations, but we also aim to provide opportunities for people to actually take part in conservation activities.

To actually participate, however, some knowledge of wildlife is required. Australian wildlife in particular is unique, differing considerably from animals from other parts of the world in physical characteristics, reproduction, care of their young, behavior and the like. Conservation practices will also differ according to the type of animal and their habitat. Without the correct knowledge, the animals may be injured, and the people involved in their conservation may also be hurt. The AJWCEF provides seminars, study tours, and training courses to cover a variety of levels of knowledge to give people the opportunity to learn about wildlife, whether you are experienced in wildlife conservation or not,  by participating in a program to suite your own level.

Anyone can participate in an AJWCEF seminar. Members of the AJWCEF will be given priority in application for participation in study tours and training courses.
