Internship

While the AJWCEF does not take on interns directly, we are able to negotiate with one of our cooperating facilities regarding placement. For those who have completed the advanced training course, it is possible to build up experience as an intern prior to commencing any employment in the area of wildlife protection and rescue. People with qualifications or experience equivalent to this course may also apply. Under the guidance of a supervisor, interns take part in wildlife protection and rescue activities, and are involved in daily husbandry and diet management. As such, applicants must have a high level of English language skills (a minimum of a IELTS 6.5 average for general English) as they need to be able to accurately exchange information with local staff without the assistance of an interpreter. Placement is subject to availability in the relevant facilities. Please contact Head Office directly for more details.
